Snowind's Lyleland weather station sits 235 feet above the Columbia River. With an unobstructed wind view, it accurately reports wind from NNW to SSE directions. Even though above the river, wind speeds correlate very closely to the Lyle Sandbar and the Rowenna-Dougs corridor. The more west in the wind, better at Doug's. The more north, better at Rowenna. Northwest is usually good for both. The camera is currently pointed west southwest.
Pictures? Weather Underground has said they succumbed to pressure and will support web-cams afterall. We'll see if it works better than before.
